Inherit - Chapter 21: Autobot City
Eight Weeks Later
During the past several weeks since Rodimus’ captivity, the young Prime’s confidence had slowly begun to rebuild itself and more. While he returned to his usual attitude of caution and friendliness while in the base, he was also becoming quite the fighter on the battlefield and slowly developing an attitude of cockiness in order to hide the fact that he was still hurting deep inside his spark.
And while he still felt that he wasn’t quite ready to lead the Autobots, Optimus finally convinced him to at least try with Optimus and Prowl guiding him every step of the way. They would kindly point out his mistak

The first few days of Rodimus' physical recovery went quickly, but it was the mental healing that became a nightmare for nearly everyone. Whenever Rodimus saw an injured fellow Autobot, he would curl up his hands into fists, growl, and then rant about how he wasn't strong enough to prevent them from getting hurt.
Though it was Springer's injuries that made him feel at his worst. He hated himself for being unable to help him when he could've, even hating the fact he had been unaware of the dark green mech's crash-landing until they had returned to the shuttle. If he had known, he would have made that flying Decepticon pay for what he had done

The rest of the trip back to Earth passed by without any further incident, though Rodimus hardly recharged throughout the journey, obviously too afraid to want to rest. The three shuttles were greeted warmly by Bluestreak and Tracks as they came into landing in the hangar bay.
Once they had touched down, Ratchet was quick to have his team of medics transfer every injured to the medical bay. Even though Ironhide complained about being taken care of by the cranky old mech, Ratchet would have none of it and had Quickfire have him get taken to get his cannon reattached to his arm.
“You’re too kind, old friend,” Ironhide joked

Optimus, a surprised Megatron, and the rest of the Autobots and Decepticons stared in absolute shock and awe at the sight of the vibrant yellow headlights that blinded several of them when they stared into the highbeams. No one could tell who they belonged to, not even the wise Optimus. But deep down, a nagging feeling wedged its way deep into processor, as though he really knew who it was that was sitting before them, hidden behind the sandstorm that was getting closer as time drew onward.
The vehicle suddenly revved its powerful, yet familiar engine. It revved so loudly that caused the sand to billow upwards. Its tyres squealed as they spu

Rodimus felt like his insides were going to explode from the way how his spark was continuing to pulse deep inside his chest. Here he stood, face to face with Starscream once again, while he held his friend Punch at gunpoint, demanding that he surrender or he'd kill him. Punch kept on demanding that he forget about his life and just escape while he still could, but Rodimus didn't know how he could with the only option to use a shuttle, but it was standing in his way by demanding a code that only a Decepticon could use in order to pilot it.
From the corner of his optic, he could make out Slipstream and Vortex slowly making their way toward hi

Optimus stood tall and proud on the hill, dressed in an unusual suit of armour. The broad silvery black wings on his back flexed outwards in a simple motion, the four spikes on each wing hissed with smoke as they spread outwards. His helmet was unusually shaped with a long red chevron was broad at each base and curved towards the back of his head. Even the battle-mask he wore was unusually different, for it appeared to have a chin piece jutting out from it, his bright blue optics were also covered by a blue visor with a Heads Up Display showing Megatron in front of him was a high priority threat. His arms, legs, and body were covered in piece

The cries of war echoed around the field as the long line of earthen vehicles drove towards the gigantic mountain that was Olympus Mons. Dust and stones were kicked up from their spinning wheels, sonic booms banged as the fliers flew above their grounded brethren. It was an army that was hell bent on accomplishing their mission: create a distraction long enough for the assault team to get in, rescue their comrade, and get back out without a single casualty. However, said task would not be so easily achieved as their opposition swarmed out of the mountain like a raging hornet's nest.
Prowl knew that the moment the enemy came out to meet them,

Rodimus lay motionless on the recharge berth, his spark racing far too quickly for his liking. The thousand mile pulse per second just only seemed to make his fear grow ever stronger. But as he continued to lie there with his head mentally spinning with it, the calm words of Prowl echoed through his processor: "Never let fear cloud your judgement. Use it to overcome your obstacles and you shall conquer all."
Those words eased his trembling spark and his laboured breathing become gentle and less effective on his pulsing spark, once again having the courage that he needed to overcome what lay ahead for him. Even though he had fought battles be

John Keller sighed as he stared out the window from his office. It had been a long and quiet day, filing through all the paperwork he could manage. As a close friend of the Autobots, the extra line of papers meant everything to both the human race and the Autobots who stayed hidden for the safety of both species. At least with the Autobots out of the old base and hidden away from public view, there was less of a chance of endangering anyone who was close to them.
He wrote the next lot of paper for his initials sighing as he went along. His writing hand was beginning to increase in discomfort thanks to applying a lot of pressure to it without
